PSYCHEDELIC SUPPORT
“Although many of us think of psychedelics as dangerous drugs, it’s time for a rethink. They are non-toxic, non-addictive, have very few side effects, and could potentially offer relief for people suffering from a range of psychological difficulties.”
— Dr. Rosalind Watts,
I offer professional support for those exploring psychedelics as part of a personal journey. (see below for conditions on legality and ethics).
I can support you in a number of ways:
Psychedelic Integration
A psychedelic experience can feel life altering, but where do you start and how do you use your experience? Helping you process and make sense of a psychedelic experience can help translate your insights into lasting personal growth. It can also help you ground somatically after an experience.
Guided Truffle Experience
(The Netherlands) – Facilitating or guiding you in a truffle experience In The Netherlands. This is a relational, safe, legal and supportive space for exploration rather like a ceremony, it is not psychedelic psychotherapy.
Microdosing Education & Integration
As an accredited microdose facilitator I can offer guidance and education on microdosing based on the latest scientific research. It’s important to remember psychedelics are illegal in the UK and I do not provide substances only education and harm reduction.
Crisis Support
Assisting individuals who have had challenging psychedelic experiences, helping them find stability, clarity, and meaning.

Microdosing
“Microdosing does not cause classic psychedelic effects such as visual disturbances; instead, microdosers experience more subtle, “sub-hallucinogenic”, effects from the practice. Microdosing is a practice that yields best results when it’s done over an extended period of time following a dosing scheme, or protocol. The exact effects and results of this practice depend greatly on the person, the substance, the dosage and many other personal factors such as their intention, their expectations and mindset.”
— Microdosing Institute,
The subtle effects of microdosing most often mentioned:
-
More energy
-
More creativity
-
Clearer thinking
-
Increased problem-solving ability
-
Increased focus
-
Increased awareness
-
Positive mood
-
Greater emotional connection with people around you
-
Being more present

Psychedelics are not for everyone
Psychedelics are not a magic bullet to cure us of all our difficulties. At best they can have an incredibly positive experience on our lives, however not all people respond well to psychedelics and many have had some extremely difficult experiences on psychedelics. These are sometimes referred to as “bad trips” and were viewed as entirely negative. Nowadays with the proper support at the right moment these incredibly difficult experiences can be integrated and made sense of. It also helps if during a difficult experience you have been surrounded by loving, supportive care where as if you are alone and unsupported it can be very frightening. Whilst many have a valued time during their psychedelic experience, what goes up, must come down and many struggle with after effects of feeling low as if life has become tight and difficult. This can be helped with integration sessions.
However, the more the psychedelic renaissance grows the more cases of some people having prolonged difficulty after taking a psychedelic are being reported. So if this is you, it’s important to realise you are not alone and seek help. Many people delay reporting a continued negative experience after taking a psychedelic for fear of having taken an illegal drug.
If you are considering taking a psychedelic it is not advisable to take a psychedelic if you are on certain medications or have a history of psychiatric conditions that involve psychotic episodes. It is important to do your own research and not just ahead if it is not going to be safe for you personally. However, if you have and you are having an adverse reaction it’s better to seek help than to worry about being judged. We might do some integration sessions that may involve sign posting you to where you can get the help you need.
A few issues that may continue post experience to consider getting help with:
Confusion over the experience including retrieved memories that feel unsettling, entity intrusion, increased anxiety that doesn’t diminish, insomnia, persistent intrusive thoughts.
Hallucinogen persisting perception disorder (HPPD):
- An image of an object despite it not being there anymore (palinopsia)
- False perceptions of movement out of the corner of the eye (peripheral vision)
- Flashes of colour
- Halos or trailing after-effects of images
- Inanimate objects appearing alive (for example, walls that appear to be “breathing” or growing)
- Intensified colour
- Objects appearing larger than they are (macropsia)
- Objects appearing smaller than they are (micropsia)
- Trails of images of moving objects
- Visual snow or air that looks sparkly, grainy, or textured
If you are experiencing difficulties after a psychedelic experience of any level it’s important to get help.

Legality and Ethics
When approaching this way of self development, it’s important to keep in mind that though many drugs have become normalised through festival culture, psychedelics remain illegal in most parts of the world despite an increasing wealth of scientific research and medical models being developed. Those of us who work in this field are constantly aware of the ethical and legal boundaries and therefore it is important when approaching this work you also take responsibility for the current situation and respect it. Please do not ask me to supply illegal drugs. As I live part time in The Netherlands there are opportunities to have safe, legal experiences with psilocybin truffles that are legal for recreational use, without putting either of ourselves in legal jeopardy. There is also no established legality to PPA (psychedelic assisted psychotherapy) for psychotherapists – even trained ones. Certain medical establishments are able to obtain a licence to offer it under certain circumstances. In the UK there are some clinical trials available that it is worth researching. This is why I offer guidance in the format of a ceremony like my Cacao ceremonies rather than a series of psychedelic assisted therapy sessions.
